Description sk_service CLA 2011-03-26 19:46:41 EDT
Build Identifier: 20110218-0911

I'm trying to install the Glassfish 3.1 Adapter. I'm getting the following error,
"Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
Software being installed: GlassFish Java EE 5, Java EE 6 1.0.54 (com.sun.enterprise.jst.server.sunappsrv.feature.feature.group 1.0.54)
Missing requirement: GlassFish Java EE 5, Java EE 6 1.0.54 (com.sun.enterprise.jst.server.sunappsrv.feature.feature.group 1.0.54) requires 'org.eclipse.platform.feature.group [3.5.0,3.6.0)' but it could not be found"

Is there a fix? Is there a workaround?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to Help => Install New Software => At the "Work With" location key in https://ajax.dev.java.net/eclipse => Select 'Glassfish Java EE 5 and Java EE6 Support'

The message shows up

sk_service,

The Glassfish 3.1 Adapter is provided by (what was Sun, but is now) Oracle. You will need to follow up with them to get this problem addressed. (I have added one of their people to the cc-list of this bug.)

The new update center is now located at

http://download.java.net/glassfish/eclipse/helios

The one you mentions is old and does not work on the Helios release.

You can also read the documentation for Helios and GlassFish at:

http://glassfishplugins.java.net/eclipse36/

By following the steps above, this will solve this bug.
