If you copy a patch and paste it in the synchronize view, you can see it in the compare editor which has support for searching and a quick outline. You can do this with attached patches using copy contents, but it would be nice to have a "synchronize patch" command in the menu to do it and increase discoverability (which is very low for pasting to the synchronize view, though that's not Mylyn's fault).
