The current implementation parses the whole history of the scm repository, which is not feasible for larger repositories and non-distributed scm systems.
Many task connectors provide these information by themselves and a better solution would be to re-use that information from the task repository.

I am moving this to the tasks project which should host the extension point to enable task repository connectors to provide the mapping if available.
