Description David Bosschaert CLA 2011-03-23 10:51:13 EDT
Build Identifier:

Currently the packaging for Tycho is:
  <packaging>eclipse-plugin</packaging>
It would be really nice if a synonym could be introduced:
  <packaging>osgi-bundle</packaging>

That would make it easier to explain the use of Tycho to pure OSGi devs, my understanding is that Tycho should work for any OSGi project.

Reproducible: Always
Comment 1 Tobias Oberlies CLA 2011-06-11 06:40:10 EDT
This would be very simple if bug 349115 was resolved. Nevertheless, this could also be implemented independently.

Reassigning to inbox. @Igor: I assume this is only assigned to you because you used to be the default assignee, right?
Comment 2 Mickael Istria CLA 2020-06-29 08:36:56 EDT
This doesn't seem so useful, and it might be better to keep the Eclipse terminology as Tycho uses some Eclipse-specific dependency management.
