Following scenario, can reproduce: * hva a task in the task list, but not open. go to the web UI or another task list and change the task * now sync the task (right click in task list) and immediately open it * quickly change the task while it is still syncing * _note here that had you invoked sync from the task editor, you wouldn't be able to edit the task at this point, but syncing from the task list and then opening has fields enabled_ * now wait until "task has incoming changes" appears * hit Ctrl-Shift-S to submit your changes * _observe that the incoming message in the header disappears, the submit button gets disabled, and nothing submitted_ * _observe further that saving (Ctrl-S) reenables the submit button, but pressing it doesn't submit the task_ * submitting is possible after hitting sync again
note: I never ran into this problem in normal tasklist/taskeditor workflows. However I run with a patch where I can open a task and submit a status change in the background at the same time (an "Activate and change to assigned" workflow), and thus found this problem.
You can also submit, close and reopen a task. The editor will have editable fields even though a submit is in progress. We should take a look at this at some point to improve tracking of ongoing task operations.
