Description Lars Vogel CLA 2011-03-19 17:44:16 EDT
I suggest to reduce the initial whitespace in Eclipse 4.1. Screenshot attached. I think it is really to much to look nice. Half of the space should be sufficient.

Dunno why Nitin added that in the whiteboard, I guess it was intended as a comment.

Your screenshot was not attached to the bug, Lars.

Shows whitespace

Sorry for forgetting the screenshot. The screenshot indicates the area there I think we have too much whitespace.

The latest build (I20110415-1030) actually included some CSS changes in this area. I have attached a screenshot of how it looks on Windows XP.

Actually, it seems I don't get this look by default. I have to switch to the Windows 7 theme (and restart) for this to happen.

This indeed looks much better, but any reason for this not to be done for all themes ?

btw instead of restart you can also do Window -> New window.

I think Bogdan's just been busy. I'm not really sure.

Current Eclipse looks really good. Closing as fixed.
