Description David Williams CLA 2011-03-16 01:08:05 EDT
While testing the JS IDE Package from EPP, from
http://build.eclipse.org/technology/epp/epp_build/indigo/download/20110315-2111/

When I create a new 'Test' JS Project (in JS Perspective) in fresh install, fresh workspace, I get a message that says something like "Cannot reveal 'Test'. Do you want to remove some filters to reveal the element?" If I say "yes" it shows me the dot (system files and folders); if I say "no" it still reveals the project to me, but does not show the dot files.

I tried, and this did not happen with M5.

Even with this M6 version, it also did not happen with pain projects, or Java Projects (only other two I tried).

I as using 64 bit version to test (though, can't imagine that matters). I was on Windows.

I have a hunch you only test existing workspaces with WTP smoke tests, eh? :)

While too late to fix this level of problem for M6 (if others can reproduce) I think it should get a high priority for M7 since it sure makes a bad first impression.

I've confirmed this happens in JEE IDE too ... if and only if the JavaScript perspective is open. Does not happen in JEE perspective.

This seems to be working correctly in WTP 3.5.1. Checked against the 7/18 build.
