Build id: I20110127-2034 I tried the following scenario: - Enable view management in JDT perspective. - Disable "Show Debug view on breakpoint hit" preference. - Disable "Switch perspective on breakpoint hit" preference. - Set breakpoint in java program. - Start debugging java program. The result is that the console view gets opened and output from program is shown, but no other debugging views are shown. The expected behavior is that Debug view and other debugging views should open and IP should be shown in editor. If I first do some debugging in the Debug perspective, then the above scenario works as expected (i.e. the Debug view is opened by the view managemenet). This seems to indicate that some service is not initialized correctly when trying to debug in non Debug perspective.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
