+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #291105 +++

Currently the default presentation of search results is to show descriptions and not sort by category. Bug #291105 has requested that sort by category be the default. I do not think this is the best choice for the Eclipse SDK but adding a preference makes sense. At the same time we should add a preference for the option to show descriptions which is closely related.

In summary this request is to add a preference that can be set in pluginCustomization.ini to control the default setting of show descriptions and sort by category.
