Created attachment 190762 [details] Initializing Java Tooling has encountered a problem Initializing Java Tooling has encountered a problem.
Everything comes down to the initial problem: Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.eclipse.mylyn.internal.commons.net.WebClientLog I an routing this bug over to Mylyn.
Which version of Eclipse and Mylyn are you using? It seems that the versions of the tasks and commons plug-ins are from different Mylyn versions as WebClientLog was removed a while ago.
It looks like some plug-ins are duplicated: org.eclipse.mylyn (3.0.2.v20080918-1100-e3x) "Mylyn" [Starting] org.eclipse.mylyn (3.0.4.v20090122-1000-e3x) "Mylyn" [Starting] org.eclipse.mylyn.commons.net (3.0.2.v20080918-1100-e3x) "Mylyn Commons Net" [Starting] org.eclipse.mylyn.commons.net (3.0.4.v20090122-1000-e3x) "Mylyn Commons Net" [Active] org.eclipse.mylyn.commons.ui (3.0.2.v20080918-1100-e3x) "Mylyn Commons UI" [Starting] org.eclipse.mylyn.commons.ui (3.0.4.v20090122-1000-e3x) "Mylyn Commons UI" [Active] You would need to remove the older versions from your plug-ins folder.
Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do from this end. It's a problem with the installation. As a work-around please try manually deleting the duplicated plugins or re-installing Mylyn.
