One of the requirements for the Simultaneous Release is to deliver New & Noteworthy description with each Milestone release. "The Project should actively engage their community to get feedback on milestone builds, and document how they do that. One way to do this is to have a New & Noteworthy for each milestone. New and Noteworthy documents should be something readable and usable not just a static list of all the bugs. Corollary: individual new & noteworthy should be linked in to the collective New & Noteworthy."
I suggest you add a section to WTP's normal "grouped" N&N. See http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/wtp-dev/msg07963.html and http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/development/news/3.3M6/ These files are in our "website" cvs repository: /cvsroot/org.eclipse www/webtools
Sure. I've added the necessary files for Libra. The (still empty) page for Libra can be requested on the following URL: http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/development/news/3.3M6/libra.php Holger, you need to edit the libra.xml file available on the following location in CVS: /cvsroot/org.eclipse /www/webtools/development/news/3.3M6/libra.xml
Created attachment 190848 [details] N&N for the WAR Products Done. But I can't commit to the webtools CVS. I attached a patch for the libra.xml file. Kaloyan can you commit the changes please?
Thanks, Holger. I submitted the patch. Perhaps, it's a good idea to give a link to more detailed information about the WAR Products. Screenshots would also fit very nice. Regarding the permissions problem, I suggest that you contact the Webmaster to give you write permissions. Libra is a subproject of WTP and all committers should have the necessary permissions to update the website content under /webtools.
I added what's new information about the OSGi Bundle Facet. I'm closing this bug. Holger, if you need help to add more information about the WAR Products, let me know.
I have some questions about this as I was proofreading the page: 1) How does a user install Libra with the regular M6? We should mention that. 2) We've had a generic Incubator page in the past, but it hasn't had content for some time. If Libra is meant for Indigo, I could see it being its own page right now, but since I don't see its facets in the actual WTP SDK, I'd lean toward it being in the Incubator page.
Hi Nitin, 1) Thanks for the hint. I've added a link in the N&N page to the wiki with the installation instructions. 2) Libra is a separate incubating project. It's not part of the WTP Incubator. Libra is also part of the Indigo Release (starting from now - M6). The Libra features are available only in the "non-SDK" WTP category of the WTP repository. They are not available in the WTP SDK category, because Libra does not yet provide SDK plugins. We will address this for M7.
