Description Krum Tsvetkov CLA 2011-03-07 10:51:49 EST
There have been changes to the license which should be used for Indigo:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=337934

We need to change the license files also within our features.

assigning the ticket to me...
Comment 2 Krum Tsvetkov CLA 2011-03-08 03:20:24 EST
I have done the following changes:
- updated the feature.properties files inside all features
- updated the license.html files in all features
- replaced the notice.html file in org.eclipse.mat.ui.rcp.feature/rootfiles and in /product (for tycho)

I think these were all the necessary changes.

Should the licensing page of the two mat.product files be updated to fill in the License URL and Text fields?

Help > About Eclipse Memory Analyzer > Installation Details > Memory Analyzer Tool > Properties
> Copyright
> License Agreement

I don't know where the Copyright information comes from.

I'll have a look at this.
The internal RCP build produced some RCPs where clicking "Installation Details" brings something empty.
I wanted to try what the tycho build at Eclipse produced, but I can't currently download the file (times out).
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. I'll reopen the bug and try to get everything correct.

Here we already fulfilled the Indigo requirements, i.e. our features have the proper license.
Therefore I reduced the prio to normal. I'll keep the message open to look into more details about the license info in the RCPs.

I've updated the mat.product file in o.e.mat.rcp to have a copyright and license section, but this has not fixed copyright for the product in the Tycho/Maven builds.
Does the other version need to be updated?
Comment 7 Krum Tsvetkov CLA 2011-05-11 09:21:24 EDT
The tycho build uses /trunc/product/mat.product
I guess we need to update there. However, I have no idea how to get the values in a properties file. But I guess it is also ok if we put the text directly in the xml. Are you going to try changing this, or shall I give it a try?
Comment 8 Krum Tsvetkov CLA 2011-06-21 09:04:14 EDT
I've added the license info to the product definition used by the tycho build:
/product/mat.product
I'm closing the bug now.
