Somehow (and don't ask me how... ) I got to a situation when a "new editor" pane is empty - w/o any tabs, and still visible. In this situation - it is not possible to close it at all :( . The only way to close it it to open a new editor on it, and close the new tab. I suggest you either avoid this situation, make available a drop down menu on the pane-level so to be able to close it. FYI, and thanks -Rafi -- Configuration Details -- Product: Eclipse 1.3.1.20100913-1228 (org.eclipse.epp.package.cpp.product) Installed Features: org.eclipse.platform 3.6.1.r361_v20100909-9gF78GrkFqw7GrsZnvz0JWNTeb6fue6896L
That's a platform issue.
I get a domain-unregistered error when I try to open the image. Please attach the image directly to this bug.
Also, any thing in the Error Log?
I am not 100% sure, but I think the issue occurs when you have a split editor area and one pane contains an editor which is not persisted. Upon restart this pane is empty.

Clicking on the image in URL field forwards me to: http://imageshack.us/img/blocked_login.jpg With no steps to reproduce, no image to see and no trace of the Error Log, I have no clue of what you guys are talking about.
Created attachment 190529 [details] The previous (linked) image and... I don't know how to view the "error log". the "Problems" pane is clean
