on a slowish network adding a site like helios or indigo to a target platform can take a while to get the metadata. During this time the user typically sees a modal Add Content dialog. In many cases that dialog covers a large chunk of the underlying IDE including the progress reporting in the status line. Consequently, the user is left wondering what is going on. There appears to be space in the dialog at the bottom to have a progress bar. We should use that to tell the user what is happening.
