I have Eclipse maximized in a two-monitor system on Linux. That maximizes Eclipse to a single screen, which is fine. However, if I then click the "show list" button to show me a list of other editor tabs not visible, that list is presented such that the left side of the list dialog is aligned with the left side of the "show list" button itself...but this causes the list dialog to break across the screen, making it hard to read. See the attachment for a screen shot, and an idea of how to fix.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Maximize Eclipse on a two-monitor Linux system
2. Open more editor tabs than can be displayed.
3. Click "show list".

And for the record, I really like your idea. I'll check with my manager to arrange a trip to that wonderful place ;-)

I am not your manager, but am doing all I can for you to visit the Ottawa lab one day. We have some nice canoeing spots close by, too :-)

You know, the more I think about this issue, the more convinced I become of it's extreme difficulty. You're going to need to fly me up to Canada, and we can go spend 10 days out on the silent water discussing the various options.

Late June is a great time to go!

My bugreport is not really a duplicate, but it's a similar issue.
When having two monitors, the show list button displays centered on the left monitor (whilst my window actually spreads *more* then one monitor, which would mean it would probably be on the right monitor instead of the left)

Can you please attach a screenshot to help us understand the issue?

Multiple monitor - list items shifted to the left monitor

Attached a sample picture of what happens when I press on the '>>' icon
(this is on Windows 7, FWIW)

Take note: the lightbox/popup shows itself on my left monitor (while the window sits on both)

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.

If the bug is still relevant please remove the stalebug whiteboard tag.
