Description Silvio Heuberger CLA 2011-03-01 03:49:11 EST
The eclipse UI for EGit creates duplicate keybindings for important shortcuts I (and possibly many other people use every day) namely:

The are defined with the scope "in windows". I think it would be much better to either define those keybindings differently, or define them only when a file/package/folder/project has been selected in the package explorer/navigator.

The keybindings are:

- Extract Method/Merge
- Inline/Ignore
- Change Method Signature/Commit

These are all bindings triggering refactorings which I use all day long, over and over again. I also mainly access them via the keybindings and not using the mouse. I'd vote for the keybindings to be changed, such that there is no conflict, either basing them on the selection or changing them altogether.
