Description Paul Webster CLA 2011-02-28 11:17:33 EST
As part of bug 325392 I added some checks in the PartRenderingEngine:
boolean menuChild = parent instanceof MMenu;

I think I've done this wrong, as not rendering an MMenu that's a child of an MMenu is a side effect of my renderer, not important to the model. I want to remove this check.

Eric, the effect that's important for me is that rendering an MMenu generates a MenuManager correctly tied to the MMenu's parent MMenuManager (for submenus, everything else currently works correctly). Perhaps it would be sufficient to simply add this ignore to #processContents(*) instead of blocking it in the PartRenderingEngine ?

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
