List of plug-ins

List is taken from the plugins directory as the list cannot be gotten from Eclipse itself!

Have tried to use a new empty workspace.

Same problem - although it seems to take a little longer before Eclipse becomes completely unresponsive...
Comment 4 Tonny Madsen CLA 2011-02-27 09:08:13 EST
Have created a new Eclipse installation based on the RCP zip from eclipse.org.
Have then installed all plug-ins from the old installation via the p2 director.

This seems to work as it should. Feel free to downgrade this bug if you feel like it. It is no longer critical to me.

I will try to help you if you wish to investigate this further :-)

This is the RCP zip that's created by the packaging project so I'll move this bug to their bucket.

Hi Tonny, just to make sure:
Is the version that you updated from Helios SR1 (platform 3.6.1) to Helios SR2 on Saturday with the fix from bug 338310 comment 9?

And can you see anything suspicious in the .log file?

I don't see anything that would help me in the crash report :(

Part of log

from just before until after the problem is first seen.

Notice the OoM exceptions...

I updated from 3.6.1 to 3.6.2

Yes, my eclipse.ini file is missing as well!

No, I cannot see anything from the log that should indicate why the file is missing. I'll attach the log file in a few seconds.
