It looks like files in the objects directory of /gitroot/linuxtools are missing g=w.  My userid doesn't have the ability to change this.  Can the mighty webmaster please fix it for me?  Thanks.

Thanks.  FWIW I also had to run git config --bool core.bare true but now things are good and I can commit.
