The perspective switcher always shows up even if 'false' is used.

Eric, it seems to me that the current trim goes TrimBarLayout.SPACER, QuickAccess, TrimBarLayout.GLUE, PerspectiveSwitcher. If we just take the PS out of the equation will it cause any layout problems? Or is having the trim go TrimBarLayout.SPACER, QuickAccess, TrimBarLayout.GLUE ok?

Verified by code inspection with I20110307-2200 on Windows XP.
