The R4EItem structure in the R4E core data model is similar to the Mylyn versions structure with some small differences.
However, R4EItems are using EMF and we can therefore serialise them as part of the review meta-data.

Mylyn Versions offers a transformation/resolution between work space and the different version systems.
 
 So there is a need to build data adapters to go from R4EItem to Mylyn versions in order to use its interface.
 
 in the long term, we shall see if it's possible to separate the R4EItem structure and combine it with Mylyn versions.

This is really not needed, 
Data conversion shall happen internally upon reception of data from the Mylyn versions API
