+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #330320 +++

We'd like to request a backport of the fix for bug 330320 to the 3.6.2+ maintenance stream such that we can adopt it easily in our products.

A patch for the 3.6 stream is already in attachment 187240 [details]
(bundle version updates pending).
