Build Identifier: M20100211-1343 If you put special characters - like {} into the branding text of a RCP plug-in project, the "about" window is not shown any more. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create an RCP plug-in project using the RCP Mail Template 2. Open the plugin.xml file in MANIFEST.INF 3. Find the "aboutText" and in the value field change "RCP Mail template created by PDE" to "RCP Mail template created by PDE {" 4. Launch the project and try to open the menue Help->About RCP Product 5. nothing happens
Here is the stacktrace for this bug. It seems that the { character is expected to be part of some variable substitution.
