Description James Blackburn CLA 2011-02-16 04:35:07 EST
There's no support for replacing the contents of a file with the contents in another branch / tag / commit without also moving the HEAD. The equivalent of git checkout -- <paths>

Like CVS there could be a "Get Contents" action in the history view, and also hang off of context menu > Replace With > Commit / Tag.

The term checkout is overloaded in cgit and it would be good if the UI made the distinction between moving HEAD and just replacing file contents.
