Currently GMF Notation only depends on the platform and EMF. If we make the GMF Notation build dependent on CDO, we will introduce a circular build dependency. When building the modeling stack, I am not sure how this would work.

Anthony I am not sure to fully understand where the circle is ? 
I guess you refers to dawn, the component of CDO which depends from GMF Tooling.
But I think we could add a dependency only to a CDO feature which does not include the dawn component ?

OK, I was thinking the entire CDO project and not what we need as you say.

Please have a look at the Updates section.


Ouch, our builds still depend on the projects ZIP downloads, so this is not going to be straight forward.

CDO now contains native support for GMF Notation models, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=534791.
