We created a fragment (using the technique explained in bug 336707) to provide a CDO based version of GMF Notation.

Code is hosted on eclipselabs :

http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/cdo-gmf-notation/

And CDO based version of GMF Notation fragment could be browsed :

http://code.google.com/a/eclipselabs.org/p/cdo-gmf-notation/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Forg.eclipse.gmf.runtime.notation.cdo

The work is not finished, but we have something which compile. Anyone interested to test and enhance is welcome.

This will not be integrated in GMF Notation for Indigo (1.5), but it should be compatible with this version.

CDO now contains native support for GMF Notation models, see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=534791.
