Steps to reproduce: 1. In any git repository, create a new branch. 2. In the new branch, delete or add a file 3. Commit the change. 4. Right-click on the project, then choose Team -> Synchronize. 5. Choose the new branch as the source and the ancestor branch as the destination (either remote or local - the result is the same). Expected result: See the deleted/added files in the Synchronize view. Actual result: Deleted or added files are not shown in the Synchronize view. Strangely, if you click on the "Next Difference" button enough times, eventually the added file will be shown. However, deleted files are never shown. I'm using Egit 0.10.1 on Windows Vista x86 Service Pack 2.
I just updated to the nightly build (0.11.0.201102080929), and I noticed that added files are now being correctly shown in Synchronize. However, deleted files are still not being shown. It just shows the folder that the deleted file was contained in, without the file itself.
This issue should be fixed with change: http://egit.eclipse.org/r/2459 I hope it will be merged soon into 0.11 release branch.
Fixed. Thanks Dariusz. Would be great to have this pushed to master also.
Thanks for the fix!
