In the project org.eclipse.m2e.maven.runtime, when I open update-jars-pom.xml , go to a dependency and hit f3 on a property used in a version (e.g. aether.version) it opens up a new editor.
Since the property declaration is in this file I would have expected the editor to jump to the declaration.

is it the editor for the same file? or different?

It opens a new editor with the same file (or at least it appears so) but I can't edit it.
