picture of help menu

After installing the whole "Collaboration" category, it appears there are similar menu items that serve similar purposes ...

There is a "report bug or enhancement... " that I think comes from mylyn. Then a "subversive" menu item that expends with "send tip for improvement" and "send problem report". I suspect Mylyn and Subversion projects need to work out a common solution?

Also, the "subversive, migrate projects and settings" item sounds misplaced on the help menu. Seems it should be on the "project" menu ... or something. (Though, admit, I do not know what it is for).

And, maybe unrelated to the main purpose of this bug ... but "Maven Discovery" on Help menu? Does that make sense? Maybe it does to Maven users?

That's tracked on this bug:

229495: Remove Subversive menu in Help
 https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=229495

It's fairly straight forward to contribute bug repositories to the Mylyn bug reporting facility through an extension point (bug 294957). Igor, let us know if you need any help with that.

Hello Steffen,

Thanks for your tips, Subversive sub-menu will be gone from the Help menu with the next build, but I have still posted a question regarding extension point matter here: bug 294957

I expect it is there because all other install-related actions are also in the help menu.

Looking at Indigo SR1 this appears to be fixed. I don't see any duplicate menu items after installing the Collaboration category into the Java package. David, can we close this?

fine with me (though, by all means if other notice anything to be fixed for Juno, please open new bugs).
