Build Identifier: 20100617-1415 The context help in each wizard page of project creation wizard is not showing up consistently. After clicking on the help icon, the content changes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Bring up the generic project wizard or Java project wizard. 2.Click on the context sensitive help 'question mark' on the first page of the wizard. 3.The help contents for that page is shown, keep this help window open 4.Now type in some project name and click next in the wizard. 5.The help window remains and contents get changed for that page which is correct. 6.Now click on the question mark in the second page of the wizard (you might have to click twice). 7.The default eclipse help shows up. Also when we close the help window and click on the question mark once again now, the proper help contents comes up.
I'm not able to reproduce this. Assigning to JDT for investigation.
In 3.7, the help button is now a toggle, so you can't reproduce the multi-click scenario any more. The multi-click was actually a "feature" (allowed to step up in the widget hierarchy to see context help of outer scopes). But that feature has been used rarely, so we improved the help button to be a toggle. F1 still gives access to outer contexts.
In 3.7, a different problem shows up when you follow the steps from comment 0 and use the generic project wizard: In step 6, when you click the help button twice to close/reopen, then the focus is on the "< Back" button when you reopen help. But since the "< Back" button doesn't belong to the "Project References" wizard page, you get the help from the outer context.
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant. If the bug is still relevant, please remove the "stalebug" whiteboard tag.
