currently, the formatter is only responsible for hidden tokens.

It could also feel responsible for whitespace matched by unassigned terminal rule calls. The user would have to declare explicitly which rule calls these are.

currently, these unassigned rule calls are handled by the serializer.

this is possible with the new formatter
