Description Konstantin Komissarchik CLA 2011-01-27 02:30:44 EST
It is already possible to attach auxiliary property editors to another property editor. This has so far been used in limited scenarios where you have two tightly-coupled properties, like amount and units.

We need more flexibility for related content. In particular...

1. It should be possible to use parts other than the property editor for related content. One new usecase is showing descriptive text.

2. It should be possible to specify the amount of property editor's horizontal space to allocate to related content in the sdef file.

3. A movable sash should be placed between the property editor and related content such that the user can adjust space split as necessary.

Feature implemented. More details in release enhancement notes, migration guide and the gallery sample.

unable to find implementation of use case 3 in gallery sample
Comment 3 Konstantin Komissarchik CLA 2011-06-03 13:09:55 EDT
If you found examples of related content in the sample, you saw implementation of requirement #3 (sash). Note that the sash isn't visible. You have to place the mouse in the space between the property editor and related content until you get left-right mouse cursor to be able to activate the sash.

Verified in sapphire-gallery.xml and Coherence use cases.
