The tooling for the Virgo server was initially developed by SpringSource for the previous version of the virgo server known as dm server and was shipped as part of the SpringSource Tool Suite. Now the tooling should be contributed to the virgo project.

The goal is also to refactor parts of the tooling to make it suitable for a future contribution to the libra (OSGi enterprise tooling) project.

The donation of the tooling for the Virgo server from SpringSource/VMware is now complete. We have the code at this GIT repository:

There is also a hudson build setup:

The code is currently in a somewhat fragile state and the next steps will be to stabilize and improve that codebase.
