When I opened the dialog to filter the content of problem view (drop down menu in the view > configure content), the maven markers do not appear to be grouped together (see screenshot), and their name is colliding.
We should change the name and also see how to reorg the markers so that they show under one "family" like it is the case for the JDT ones. I suppose this is done by inheriting a common marker type.

Apparently we needed to use the extension org.eclipse.ui.ide.markerSupport to categorize markers.
