Description Liviu CLA 2011-01-24 08:37:47 EST
Build Identifier: M20100909-0800

I'm using Topcased Requirement 4.2 plugin. I import some requirements and attach them do a diagram. The problems appears when I try to change the display from Hierachical to Flat and back toHierachical in the Upstream requirement Window: 1 core is at 100% and the UI is frozen for 3-4 minutes.
It also happens some times just when entering Upstream Requirement window, without doing anything, but when I switch the display modes the problem reproduces every time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Topcased Requirement 4.2
2. Import requirements (I had about 30 requirements in the tree, with 2 children each)
3. Attach them to a diagram.
4. Switch to Upstream Requirement window
5. Switch from Flat to Hierarchical view and back
6. The application freezes

When the UI freezes, thread Worker-5 shows the state "sleeping" in Visual VM

Please open a bug for the Topcased Requirement plugin.

In which view does it freeze?
Comment 5 Liviu CLA 2011-01-24 12:51:38 EST
Hello,

Dani: what is the view? I've set Requirement Perspective, and the block is in the Upstream Requirement window.

Oleg: Sorry, I didn't find a category for Topcased Requirement plugin. Can yo utell me how to open the bug there also?

Thanks

I might be wrong about it as eclipse.org is quite big, but I don't think it is the project whose development is hosted in eclipse.org.

I'd start looking from the place where you got the plug-in, or, failing that, try looking at http://www.topcased.org ?

Thanks,
I already searched there, and I've found only mailing lists, not defect management or something similar. For a week I'm waiting for an answer on a mailing list there. A colleague suggested me to post here. I had no intention to fill the space and time here with irrelevant stuff, I was hoping to get a workaround.

1. Go tohttp://www.topcased.org/
2. Click 'Contact'.
3. "Note that bug reports and features requests should be reported onto our Topcased trackers."
