Description Martin Oberhuber CLA 2011-01-21 13:14:21 EST
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #297617 +++

The Apache License requires exposing NOTICE.txt when redistributing. The NOTICE.txt files are shipped in the about_files folder, but a hyperlink is missing in the about.html files.

I think that link should be added, similar to what other bundles under APL 2.0 do -- see also bug 327661 .

Assigning to Gunnar as most recent "contact" for Lucene ... feel free to re-assign if I have misunderstood.
Comment 2 Gunnar Wagenknecht CLA 2012-01-26 06:18:53 EST
Martin, is this still relevant? I'm not sure that linking to the NOTICE file is explicitly required. Do you have a reference/pointer for me?
Comment 3 Martin Oberhuber CLA 2012-01-26 09:26:44 EST
I don't know whether it's a must have from a legal / compliance point of view.

But I thought that doing the same as most other Apache licensed bundles would be a good idea.

I'll add them to the new 3.5 bundles and update 2.9.1 as well.

I updated the 3.5 bundles with bug 369792.
