Description programmer CLA 2011-01-19 10:15:20 EST
Build Identifier: M20100909-0800

Setting Java code formatting of braces in code blocks to "Next line indented" does not have the desired effect when typing a try statement. One gets

try
{
}

The setting works when typing a for statement or when formatting a try or for statement.

Observed on Linux, Build M20100909-0800 and Mac OS X, Build M20100211-1343.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.In Java code style formatter, set braces for blocks to "Next line indented"
2.In a Java source file type "try<cr>{<cr>"
3.Brace is not indented

Rajesh, please check if this is still the case with your recent patches.

Yes, this issue still exists with the latest patch.

Rajesh, do you still plan to provide a patch for this? If so, I'd need it by the end of this week.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. As such, we're closing this bug.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it and reopen this bug. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
