Eclipse hangs if an XML file contains a very long line. Not sure if this is specific to editing XMLs (probably not) or it occurs with any type of file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open any XML file with long line (e.g. +10MB, see attached example

Actually it occurs for much smaller XMLs as well (see attached one, ~2.5MB)

Hi Gyorgy,

This is a general Eclipse problem and will occur with any type of file. Please see Bug 213305.

I'd imagine they squeezed as much as they could performance-wise out of it as they could. So I'd either be inclined to duplicate this against Bug 213305, or reassign it to the platform for further investigation.

SQL file which makes Eclipse hang.

The attached file 'longline.sql' also triggers this bug in Eclipse Kepler 4.3.2 on Ubuntu Linux 13.10.

The file doesn't contain any SQL, only its extension is sql.

It doesn't matter whether I open it in the SQL editor of in the plain text editor.

However, the name matters: If you rename it to longline.txt, it doesn't cause any problems.
