Description Konstantin Komissarchik CLA 2011-01-13 20:51:57 EST
The initial diagram editing contribution included two samples: map and library. The main difference between the two is the way connections are represented. It is important to show both ways, but we don't need two separate samples to do that.

Let's eliminate the library sample and modify the map sample to have two connection types (perhaps roads and railways). The two types of connections would be modeled differently to show the capability to do either approach.

Marking this major only because the library sample is currently broken due to inability to accept contributed images.

Added railway route to the map sample

A new connection type is added to the map sample: railway route between destinations. This new route demonstrates the usage of embedded connections.

The connection definition language has been expanded to support color, line width and line style. Color has two formats: named colors (all css names colors:aqua, black, blue, fuchsia, gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, orange, purple, red, silver, teal, white, and yellow) and #rrggbb format. Line styles include solid, dot, dash and dash dot.

Since we can add bend points to connections, even if multiple connections are created between the same pair of nodes and they all use the same anchor points, we can still distinguish them easily.
