Description Chris Frost CLA 2011-01-11 10:49:45 EST
Virgo would like to consume bundles from p2 repositories in its build. Virgo uses Ant/Ivy for building and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future (although other alternatives have been and doubtless will continue to be explored).

Unfortunately, this means that we need an Ivy resolver for p2 repositories.

An option of firing up a minimal Eclipse IDE in order to reuse its p2 support is not viable for the large number of resolutions that are necessary to build Virgo.

So this enhancement request is for an Ivy resolver for p2 repositories.

This will expand the applicability of p2 to Ant/Ivy projects.

Make sure that the ivy guys are aware of that request.

Hi,

I have started a discussion on the ivy mailing list to see what those guys think. Someone else may have tried it, will be interesting to see what they say.

Chris.

Any updates on this?

Hi,

There wasn't much response from the IVY users mailing list. I would be surprised if they were willing to do this work although I'm sure they would be happy to take the contribution :)

Chris.
