WHen trying to generate Entities from DB Objects, I get a list of objects that includes tables, and views but does not contain Synonyms (which is what I need in this case.)

I am using an Oracle DB

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create JPA Project
2. Right Click select "JPA Tools"/"Generate Entities from Tables"
3. Select (Oracle) DB that contians synonyms.

You should be seeing synonyms unless your driver doesn't *fully* support them, or you are using certain IBM products that change default Dali behavior. The most likely case is that your driver doesn't fully support synonyms.

See bug 269057 and bug 288027. The final solution is detailed in the second referenced bug.
