Concerning the rewritten action, we should avoid to duplicate Messages and Icon, that why, we should call, when it's possible, messages and Icons coming from GMF in the plugin.xml : 
something like that : platform:/plugin/org.eclipse.gmf.runtime.diagram.ui.providers/icons/zoomplus.gif
