Build Identifier: Could you add the current version and change log to with EGit web page? For me this information is important, since the company I work for has a private Eclipse update repository and will only update the internal versions if they know what the current version is and what changes were made. Then again even without this corporate context, it is useful to know before committing to an update, since it gives me an idea of what issues might have been resolved. Reproducible: Always
Note, if the information is already there I have not been able to find it. Maybe adding a link to it on the following page: http://www.eclipse.org/egit/documentation/
I updated our download page with version information... http://eclipse.org/egit/download/ Another way you could have done it before is via the Eclipse Marketplace... http://marketplace.eclipse.org/content/egit-git-team-provider I hope this fixes your problem.
Is there an easy way to get access to the N&N?
http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/New_and_Noteworthy http://wiki.eclipse.org/JGit/New_and_Noteworthy We generate the N&N from these wiki pages...
(In reply to comment #4) > http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/New_and_Noteworthy > http://wiki.eclipse.org/JGit/New_and_Noteworthy How does one reach those pages through a browser though? It seems there are no pages on the wiki internally that links to them. Do we have any external links from www.eclipse.org directly? http://wiki.eclipse.org/Special:Whatlinkshere/JGit/New_and_Noteworthy http://wiki.eclipse.org/Special:Whatlinkshere/EGit/New_and_Noteworthy > We generate the N&N from these wiki pages... I presume you mean they get incorporated into the doc bundles.
In theory, it should be in the helios help... http://help.eclipse.org/helios/ But we haven't updated our doc contribution for awhile... so the N&N isn't showing there... for Helios SR2 and Indigo we'll make sure we update our doc contribution. I created bug 333442 to track the Helios SR2 contribution...
Could you please add a link to that page either from the download page or the documentation page. Even with this page existing, it is not clear how I would get to there having landed on the following page: http://www.eclipse.org/egit/
Have added the links to new and noteworthy in the FAQ: http://wiki.eclipse.org/EGit/FAQ
