I tapped into this trap twice, once when registering for ESE 2010 and now again for ECon 2011. When you start a registration before you receive your coupon code, there will be no way to enter it later. It's impossible to use your discount coupon in this case. Steps to reproduce: * Somehow *started* a registration, just by following some link, I did not press a submit button anywhere. * Got my coupon code at the discount calculator with a 50% discount. http://www.eclipsecon.org/2011/discountcalculator/ * Clicked on "Ok, let me register" -> I'm redirected to a page called "Access My Registration" which sends me to this registration which I started earlier. * This registration does not include the discount and there is no field to enter the coupon code.
Unfortunately, the current system does not allow users to apply coupon codes after they have begun the registration process. The solution is to send email to "registration@eclipsecon.org" and ask for the coupon to be applied. Usually this is taken care of very quickly.
