In order to maintain meta-data, releng and test bundles that are relevant to all Mylyn sub-projects we would like to add committers to the top-level project and move the existing /cvsroot/tools/org.eclipse.mylyn CVS project to /cvsroot/mylyn/org.eclipse.mylyn .
Mik as the sole committer on the project can add committers via committer election (I fixed Bug 332081).
Thanks. I'll ask Mik to do that.
Committer nominations have been started.
See bug 333048 for provisioning CVS.
According to http://dev.eclipse.org/mhonarc/lists/mylyn-dev/msg01159.html I should now be a committer on the top-level Mylyn project and would expect to be able to edit meta-data through the portal. I don't see the project though and http://eclipse.org/projects/project_summary.php?projectid=mylyn only lists Mik as the committer. Is the provisioning not complete, yet?
There is more bizarreness. There are two Mik Kerstens in the system; both are committers on mylyn. One of them, mkersten1, was created on 12-22. Could this be related?
It's possible that Matt has not fully completed the provisioning....Typically we catch any users with ids ending in(1) and remove that ID merging all access back to the committer's original Unix ID. I'll turn this over to Matt for investigation. I suspect it is just a small glitch if the provisioning is complete. Happy New Year! Sharon

Is the provisioning not complete, yet? You can't edit the Metadata because your 'relation' to the project is as a PMC member. I've fixed that so you should be good to go. Could this be related? While this is odd, it's not unexpected. The 'second' Mik was created by the submissions system. I'm certainly willing to 'delete' the impostor, but frankly I can't tell which one it is! ;) -M.
Looking at webtools it seems that it is possible to be both, a commiter and PMC member, on a top-level project: http://eclipse.org/projects/project_summary.php?projectid=webtools . Would the same work for Mylyn?

How would I know which is the real me? Maybe the older user?

Ok, I removed Miks alter ego. -M.
Phew! I was concerned that not even I could tell the difference. Though I wish we could have put him to some productive work for the project...

Looks like we are done here. Thanks everyone!
