Description Beth Tibbitts CLA 2010-12-15 16:05:03 EST
create remote c/c++ project on abe.ncsa.uiuc.edu
using 'shallow' sample program
make res mgr for openmpi
make launch config for shallow. selection openmpi res mgr.

The resources tab does not have a place to select number of processes.
Don't see any other place to specify it either.
shallow cannot run with one process (which must be the default)

Comment 2 Greg Watson CLA 2010-12-15 18:14:34 EST
also, do you see this whenever you select the rm from the combo? for any project? what do you see in the launch attributes panel? what about other types of rms?

I just tried the new EPP for PTP 5.0 and it seems to work fine:

1. Create an Open MPI resource manager
2. Open run configurations and create a new parallel application
3. Select the resource manager from the dropdown on the resources tab
4. The launch attributes panel shows number of processes

yes works fine for me now too. I remember thinking it was the FIRST thing i tried in a new install. Trying one more incantation to see if i can reproduce.
