Description Hristo Iliev CLA 2010-12-14 07:19:11 EST
I need a full shell so I can setup my public keys.

This is needed in turn to enable automation scripts for rebuild and release of Virgo that deal with GIT.

My user/git ID is hiliev

I want to setup SSH keys for:
    git.eclipse.org
    build.eclipse.org

Webmaster please note: Violeta Georgieva <milesg78@gmail.com> and Borislav Kapukaranov <borislav.kapukaranov@sap.com> are also new committers on Virgo and have the same requirement, so you may wish to save yourself some time and give them all full shells together.

Thanks, Glyn. I need to get going on the upload key utility :(

I've given real shells to the three users. Once the keys are in place, please let me know so I can revert the shells back.

BTW: your home directory is the same on all the eclipse.org servers, so the key will work for git.eclipse.org, dev.eclipse.org and build.eclipse.org.

Hi Webmaster,

I managed to connect yesterday, but could not upload my key. Today i always get a connection timeout, maybe i messed things up yesterday. I managed to upload my public key by connecting via Hristo's machine and using my account but cannot test the ssh connection from my machine since i get a connection timeoutfor git.eclipse.org.. Could you have a look or give me a hint what could be reason.

My user/git ID is bkapukarano

Thanks,
Borislav

Borislav - probably worth noting your external IP address here as the webmaster often needs this for such issues. See http://www.whatsmyip.org/.

Boris,

Your IP was blocked for repeated attempts to login using an invalid user id... The user id you were trying started with "in......". The block has been cleared.

If you don't remember your user id and password, just let me know and I'll have a reset sent to you.

Denis

Oh, i understand. When i was trying to access git.eclipse.org it asked me for password, but it took my PC id, not my eclipse one.
So now when i use ssh my_id@git.eclipse.org it works great.
Thanks!
