After installing BIRT on top of I20101207-2000 I tried to run some of the Cheat Sheets to get started but hitting 'Click to Perform' seems to always fail with the error but referencing different plugins:

My First Report
"The action could not be run because the plugin 'org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.editors.schematic' could not be located."

Simple Report
"The action could not be run because the plugin 'org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui.data' could not be located."

Can not be reproduced in 4.0.0 M4 build v20101213-2047.
It might be related to bug #332276
