Build Identifier: Eclipse 3.4.2 On Windows 7, Non-admin user with folder redirection, the intro images do not load. This is using the default browser (internet Explorer 8) Folder Redirection is a global windows policy. Case 1: Log in with non local admin and with folder redirection enabled: Failed (Issue: see screen shot) Case 2: Login with local admin and with folder redirection enabled: IDE launches without issues Case 3: Login with Non local Admin and folder redirection disable: IDE launches without issues Using Eclipse 3.4.2 with the following patches org.eclipse.cdt.core.parser.upc.feature.R342patch version 1.0.2 com.ibm.org.eclipse.cdt.xlc.feature.R342patch.R342patch version 1.0.2 org.eclipse.cdt.platform.R342patch version1.0.14 org.eclipse.cdt.core.lrparser.feature.R342patch version 1.0.3 Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. From Windows 7, non-admin user using folder redirection 2. Launch Eclipse IDE (Intro should load by default, if not, load the intro from help menu->Welcome 3. Created attachment 184796 [details] Screen Capture if the Broken images I am unable to reproduce this issue. There are a couple of possible work arounds: a) Turn off Folder Redirection b) Grant the user admin rights c) (possibly) run Eclipse in Windows XP compatibility mode
Can you post a screen show of how it is supposed to look?
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time.
