Build Identifier: M20100211-1343 I have Preferences -> General -> Keys -> Scheme set to Emacs. But periodically the key binding scheme gets reset to Default and emacs key bindings stop working. At that point I have to go into Preferences, and click Okay (to close Preferences dialog). The Scheme is still displayed as Emacs, so no changes to preferences are needed. Clicking Okay makes Eclipse remember that it is supposed to be using Emacs scheme. This is a pretty disruptive bug because it breaks randomly while coding, which makes the emacs key bindings stop working (which can take a few failed keystrokes before you figure that out), and opening/closing preferences frequently is disruptive to code flow. This bug was reported in November 2005 in the forums, but no bug was filed: http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=msg&goto=295255& Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I don't have specific steps because this issue happens randomly. It happens about every 5-30 minutes while actively coding in Eclipse (java). Sometimes it happens 15 times in one day, sometimes 2 times. It seems to occur shortly after the quick fix window appears (ie, if you hover the mouse cursor over a build error and the quick fix window pops up suggesting adding an import or some such).
Also: FYI I'm running IceWM window manager. I heard that this bug doesn't repro in Gnome, but does in other WMs like Enlightenment (and IceWM apparently).
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet. If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
